Frank Utermoehlen is a Partner at WhiteRock, an advisory firm working on M&A transactions and capital raises in the technology, sports & entertainment sectors. Prior to working for WhiteRock, Frank has been working with Microsoft for nearly 28 years as an International Sales & Marketing Executive with over 25 years of business experience in Marketing, strategic relationship, channel and sales selling at an executive level delivering outstanding performance. He developed key Worldwide Programs, e.g. “Windows ISV Program”, “Software Asset Management” (SAM), incubated new channels (“OEM@Retail”, “Emerging Market Program”), and implemented the benchmark model for Sales & Marketing execution, meetings and reviews.
He is regarded as a Strong Organizational Leader with over 20 years of proven ability as a Leader of big international teams and experience in implementation of restructuring in complex and culturally diverse environments. He focused on his professional development around people management, negotiations, leadership while studying online.
Frank Utermoehlen has a deep understanding of developing markets for technology, software & cloud services – from the initial creation of revenue strategy, marketing & GTM planning, building partner frameworks, negotiating & closing deals, as well as developing teams to manage the ecosystem. During this time he has experienced Microsoft´s journey from a startup, with 50 people in Germany, to a leader in the IT industry.
His academic journey began at the University of Karlsruhe, where he completed a dual degree in economics and computer science with a focus on marketing. He is currently teaching Strategic Marketing, Human Resource Management and Leadership Priniciples at the EU Business School in Munich.
